"Pepe's of Key West" Giclee print by Dana Forrester

The "Eldest Eating House in the Florida Keys" is Pepe's on Caroline Street in Key West. The food is excellent, serving three meals daily either inside or outside on the dirt-floored patio. I've always been fascinated by the small building and the shadows of the awning. Finally I captured a photo of a man walking past late in the afternoon, casting the shadow of his straw hat on the front of the place. For contrast and to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the 1967 model year, I chose a red 1967 Corvette convertible to be parked outside. Some fun things going on in this work are the dark angular shadows, the string of lights on the left, and the typical KW colorful bikes on the curb.
