How many of you have eaten at an A & W Drive-In? I know I parked at our local A & W in Kirksville, Missouri, slurping down many a root beer to cool off. The Papa and Mama burgers with pizza sauce were also great. In creating this image for Corvettes at Carlisle's Celebration of the '68 model year Corvette, I wanted a different and unique type of background. I've been saving old photos of root beer places for years and selected one to use as the background setting. I still want to create a painting of a Frostop Root Beer Drive-in where I also used to hang out.
